Contact your U.S. Representative! U.S. House to Vote on Great American Outdoors Act On Wednesday, July 22nd

The Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) is the largest public lands funding package in recent history.

GAOA will provide $9.5 billion over 5 years in funding to restore the crumbling infrastructure on public lands and waters including Forest Service, Refuges and BLM lands. Approximately $3 billion will be designated to restore the infrastructure on hundreds of millions of acres that provide 25 million hunting days and 45 million fishing days for America’s sportsmen and women.

No new taxes are required to support this funding. 50% of all federal revenues from the development of oil, gas, coal, or alternative or renewable energy on federal lands and waters will be sourced to fund the GAOA.

The GAOA will also provide permanent and dedicated funding to the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) at $900 million annually while designating $15 million for the purpose of increasing access for hunting, fishing, recreational shooting, and other forms of outdoor recreation on public lands and waters.

Please contact your representative in the House to urge a “YES” vote, on the GAOA, with no changes to the bill.
