Mitzy McCorvey has been a member of HSC since 2002, and became a Life Member in 2010. She was a Corporate Sponsor from 2007-2011, has been a Dan L. Duncan Legacy sponsor since 2012, a Gazelle’s Luncheon Sponsor since 2008 as well as donating items to the Gazelle’s live and silent auctions. She has been involved with the Gazelles Luncheon since 2002 and served as Gazelles Luncheon Co-Chair in 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2017. She received the HSC President’s Award in 2012. She has participated in HSC Conventions since 1995, she served as the Convention Chairman for the 2016 Convention. Mitzy was selected as the 2016 HSC International Huntress of the Year. She served as Vice President of HSC in 2014-2015 and then was elected to the Board of Directors for 2015 thru 2017.
Mitzy is also a Life Member of SCI, the NRA and Houston Livestock & Rodeo. She served on the Host Committee for the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum in 2013 and 2015 through 2017. She was appointed to the Executive Committee for the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum in 2016. Mitzy has been a member of the HLSR Souvenir Program Committee since 2000, serving as Vice Chair from 2009-2012 and Captain from 2012-2016.
She is the Live and Silent Auction coordinator for the Sunshine Kids at HLSR BBQ Cook-Off. She is also a member of the Texas Deer Association. She is married to Tony, who is also a Life Member of HSC, and together they have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. She currently assists in overseeing cattle and deer operations at Rancho de Sueños (the family ranch).
